Every good business manager knows how important it is to make things happen. But no matter how hard you try, some things just don't happen until an opportunity comes along. What is an opportunity? It is a benefit we can claim if we are in the right place at the right time. Unfortunately, these things are often beyond our control. Therefore we must stay alert and keep our eyes open, and make the best of what comes along. Don't get discouraged when things don't seem to go your way. Opportunities will come–-be ready for them! Here are some famous quotes about opportunities:
"A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity, an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty." - Sir Winston Churchill
"Opportunities multiply as they are seized." - Sun Tzu
"Most people don't recognize opportunity because it comes disguised as hard work."
"In the middle of every difficulty, lies opportunity." - Albert Einstein
A merchant was once asked what he thought was the key to success. His reply was simply this: "You must jump at your opportunity." When questioned about how to determine when an opportunity comes, he said, "You can't . . . you have to keep jumping."
Here's one more timely quote from long ago: "Watch your step. Use your head. Make the most of every chance you get. These are desperate times!" Ephesians 5:16 (The Message)
